DevOps – Tech Lead

Dublin | Hybrid – 1 day per week onsite | Up to €120,000 + bonus

We’re looking for an experienced DevOps Tech Lead to take ownership of technical direction across Cloud, DevOps and Platform Engineering within a growing technology organisation.

This is a senior technical leadership role where you’ll influence architecture, drive engineering standards, mentor engineers and lead cross-team initiatives, while remaining hands-on for complex technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction and strategy for DevOps, Cloud and Platform Engineering.
• Act as a technical authority across AWS and Kubernetes.
• Lead cross-team initiatives around scalability, reliability, security and delivery.
• Define engineering standards, best practices and architectural patterns.
• Drive improvements across CI/CD, Terraform/IaC and platform engineering.
• Identify and address technical debt, operational risks and bottlenecks.
• Mentor engineers and help develop technical leadership across teams.
• Partner with Engineering, Product and Security leadership on architecture and technology decisions.
• Remain hands-on with high-impact technical design and problem solving.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong background in DevOps, SRE, Platform or Cloud Engineering.
• Experience providing technical leadership across multiple teams.
• Deep AWS expertise, ideally including large-scale environments.
• Strong Kubernetes / EKS experience.
• Excellent Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experience.
• Experience with CI/CD, cloud architecture, reliability and observability.
• Proven ability to influence architecture and engineering standards.
• Strong mentoring and communication skills.
• Experience at Senior, Lead, Principal or Staff level.

Formal people-management experience isn't essential — we're particularly interested in engineers who have demonstrated technical leadership and influence.
